In summary

The aim of this e-learning course is to identify the risks associated with the use of nanomaterials and to implement preventive and protective measures to ensure the safety of personnel at their workstations.

Who should take this course ?

Employees potentially exposed to nanomaterials in the workplace, heads of laboratories or facilities where nanomaterials are handled, safety coordinators or engineers.

Learning outcomes

Identify the risks associated with nanomaterials and implement preventive and protective measures at the workplace.

Interactive e-learning course with video, discovery quiz, role play, summary of key points to remember and associated resources (downloadable .pdf files). The course can be consulted for one month from the registration date.

1 - Introduction, definition and characteristics of nanomaterials

2 - Toxicity of nanomaterials: the current state of knowledge

3 - Metrology and characterisation of nanomaterials

4 - Prevention and protection against nanomaterials in the workplace

5 - Quiz: assessment of learning outcomes

 

The technical pre-requisites for this course are a computer, a touch-sensitive tablet or an equivalent device equipped with high-speed internet access.

End-of-course learning outcomes assessment quiz, with validation of learning outcomes based on an 80% pass rate in the quizzes (2 attempts possible).
