Theses and PhDs at the CEA

Every year, nearly 1,600 young scientists are welcomed into CEA laboratories to prepare a doctoral thesis in partnership with a doctoral school. As part of the preparation of a thesis, young scientists can benefit from different types of funding which determine the nature of the contract as well as the conditions to be met. The majority of these contracts are concluded for three years.

Doctoral students: in order to facilitate your professional integration, training courses in french are offered to you by the INSTN during the three years of the thesis. On the Campus France website, you will find a lot of interesting information, including the “How-to guide for PhDs” 2024.

Supervisors: Training is offered to you by the INSTN.
